Cambooya State School operates in the following way:
First bell rings at 8.50am
Second bell rings at 9.00am
Finishing bell rings at 3.00pm
Morning session – 9.00am to 11.00am
Snack time for all classes is approximately 10.00am
First break (morning tea) is from 11.00am to 11.30am (play 11.00-11.10am, Eat 11.10-11.25am)
Middle session – 11.30am to 1.00pm
Second break (lunch) is from 1.00pm to 1.45pm (eat 1.00-1.15pm, Play 1.15-1.40pm)
Afternoon session – 1.45pm to 3.00pm
Children should not arrive at school before 8.30am as supervision is not provided until this time. When students arrive at school they are required to assemble under A block (Office building at the front of the school) until released by the supervising teacher at 8.35am. Students then move to play or head to classes to participate in home reading and prepare for the day ahead.
School finishes at 3:00pm. Students released from teacher supervision should follow the directions of their parents to return home without delay, walking or riding a bicycle.
Students who travel by bus each day are required to meet and wait at the front of the schools, in the grounds, under supervision of a staff member.
Assembly
Assemblies are held every Friday morning at 9.00am in the undercover area.
School newsletter
Parents are kept informed of school news and activities by a newsletter which is emailed each week on a Monday. Families who wish to receive a hard copy will have the newsletter sent home with the eldest child in the family.
Office hours
8.00am–4.00pm Monday to Friday.
There is an answering service for messages outside of these times and the school staff will return calls as soon as possible.
